LIBERIA: ACCUSED OF BEING A WITCH, A MAN, 70, COMMIT SUICIDE IN PUTU TWEH TOWN

Tweh Town- Grand Gedeh: A 70 years old man on February 23, 2024, shot himself to death with a single barrel gun in Putu Tweh Town, Grand Gedeh County, after he was accused of practicing witchcraft.

Jackson Jaryee, 70, was well known in the area as a native doctor who healed so many people who were suffering from various kind of illness in Putu Tweh Town.

Following several years of glory for being a good native doctor, it was recently discover that oldman Jackson, was seen converted in devilish act which took the lives of people including his own siblings.

According to Community dwellers, upon committing the roguish act in the town, chief Jaryee was called on by traditional chiefs, youth leaders and women group to prove his innocence before them.

The former good native doctor was unfortunately found guilty of causing several mysterious disappearances in the town and claiming the lives of people.

“The decease used to pretend that he was a native doctor in our town. He killed innocent people, some family members, relatives and his own children who did not know his ugly and evil behavior,” community dwellers lamented.

Following his confession before the crowd, Chief Jaryee could no longer stand the shame and tension from close neighbors and friends.

He entered his room secretly and took a single barrel gun and instantly fired himself to death. Health practitioners and close neighbors ran to his house to intervene.

Unfortunately he was already dead, the body was then turned over to his family for befitting interment.
