It is crucial to Democratic Governance

The senior partner of Heritage and Partners Law Firm, Cllr. Negbalee Warner, has said respect for the rule of law is crucial to democratic governance.

Cllr. Warner, who was speaking on Friday, May 5, 2023 at programs marking the observance of Law Day, pointed out that the government of the people means respect for the rule of law, and legality and democracy are proportional to the constitutional mandate.
On the other hand, he described the trucking of voters as human trafficking.
According to the renowned Liberian lawyer exploiting and holding one for the sole purpose of having no active choice is illegal.
The Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA) held its Law Day consistent with its constitution. The colorful event was held Friday, May 5 at the Ellen Johnson- Sirleaf Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, outside Monrovia.

The National Law Day is celebrated every year in May during which lawyers, judges and magistrates and other law actors assemble to interact with Justices of the Supreme Court of Liberia.
The Law Day is to celebrate the rule of law in the society and cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal profession.

The annual Law Day is set aside to honor the achievements in the legal profession and it provides an opportunity to understand how law and the legal process protect the liberty, strives to achieve justice and contribute to the freedoms that they share.

The celebration of Law Day around the world dates back to 1957 when the president of the American Bar Association Charles Rhyne, envisioned a special day for celebrating the American legal system.
