Pres. Weah identifies with Liberian Muslims During Ramadan
The Rice and money, according to Internal Affairs Minister Varney Sirleaf, will be distributed amongst Muslims across the fifteen counties of Liberia.
Speaking on Monday, April 3, 2023, in Monrovia, during presentation of the President’s donation to Liberian Muslims, Minister Sirleaf pointed out that the five-million Liberian Dollars will be used by the fasting Muslims for soup kind.
He said the donation is the Liberian Leader’s way of identifying with Muslims, as they observe the month of Ramadan, characterized by fast and prayer.
He then reiterated President Weah’s call on Muslims, who have reached voting age, to get registered for the October 10 Presidential and Legislative Elections.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community.
