Addressing a press conference on Monday, June 10, 2024, the LNBA President, Cllr. Sylvester Rennie, said the low budgetary allotment is counter-productive to the effective dispensation of justice.
Cllr. Rennie pointed out that the rule of law is pivotal under the ARREST agenda, and such allotment for the judiciary could undermine the Government of Liberia(GoL) pillar on the Rule of Law.
He believes that a functional judiciary requires realistic budgetary appropriations to render the kind of judiciary services expected of it.
The LNBA President then called on the GoL to give immediate attention to state prosecutors by providing adequate incentives.
