LIBERIA: Rep. Gaye Departs Liberia for 79th UNGA

Nimba County Electoral District Three Representative, Honorable Nehker E. Gaye  on Sunday,  September 22, 2024 departed Liberia for New York, United States of America for the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

 

This is the first time in the history of Gbehlay Statutory District in Nimba to be represented at such international height.

 

According to foreign relation experts, this is a display of diplomatic recognition and trust. Representative Gaye who is also the Co-Chairman of the House of Representatives’ Committee on Foreign Affairs was extended the special invitation to represent Liberia at this significant gathering of nations.

Back in his district in Nimba County, the news of   Rep.  Gaye travelling to the UNGA is greeted with gentle wave of pride and excitement. According to the citizens of Nimba Electoral District three, this is a moment of enormous honor to see their representative rise to such global prominence.

The House’s Co-Chair on Foreign Affairs is set to engage with world’s leaders, fostering alliances, and advocating for Liberia and his district’s interests at the UNGA.

At the same time, Rep. Gaye will accompany the Speaker  of the 55th Legislature of Liberia, Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa to the symposium with the Union of Liberian Association in the Americas (ULAA). He will also honor the invitation of the Gbehlay citizens in the USA.

 

Rep. Gaye is expected to return within two weeks to continue his regular constituents’ visitation across the territorial confines of his district.

 

Nationally and globally, his performances continue to be attracted beyond his district. In recent times the Chinese Embassy accredited near Monrovia recognized him.
