Liberia: Ex-Chief Justice, 3 Others charged With Murder

The Liberia National Police(LNP) has charged former Chief Justice Gloria Musu Scott and three of her family members with murder, criminal conspiracy and making false statement to law enforcement officers for the death of her niece, Charloe Musu.
The late Charloe Musu was murdered at their home in Brewersville, outside Monrovia on February 22, 2023.
The other family members charged along with Cllr. Scott are Rebecca Youdeh Wisner, Gertrude Newton, and Alice Johnson
Currently, officers of the LNP have gathered in their numbers to turn over the former Chief Justice and others to the court for prosecution.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Information Cultural Affairs and Tourism (MICAT) on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 announced a Major Press Briefing today, Wednesday, June 21, 2023.

The Major Press Briefing involving the LNP will provide a significant update in the ongoing investigation regarding the death of Ms Charloe Musu at the home of the Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

The Press Briefing will begin at 11:00 am at the MICAT’s Conference Room. The media is asked to be present no later than 10:30 am.
