Pleebo-Maryland: As the Muslim Community is in observance of the Holy Month of Ramadan across the country, Pleebo District#2, Representative Hon. Anthony F. Williams has over the weekend donated food items including Cash to continue with the festival up to the 10th of April 2024.
The donation which includes: 14 twenty -five Kg bags of rice, two fifty Kg bags of sugar and sixty thousand Liberia dollars (60, 000.00LD) is his initial contribution towards the Islamic feast.
Representing Hon. Anthony F. Williams, the constituent office Coordinator Mr. Standford Neufville stressed that the donation made is the Representative own way of identifying with the Muslim community as they offer prayers and supplications to the Almighty Allah through out the country in the month of Ramadan.
Meanwhile, the District Coordinator at the same time extended Hon. Williams Sympathy to the Muslim community and the people of Pleebo Sodoken District for the priceless lost of lives of some promising and inspiring sons and daughters of the District.
” The Honorable man has thought it wise to carry on such a donation based on the recent general elections conducted and voting him as the next Representative in the District#2,” Mr. Neufville lamented.
Receiving the items onbehalf of the Muslim community Mr. Abdourahmane H. Bah, Iman of the Pleebo central mosque lauded the tremendous efforts made so far by the Hon. Representative for having them in his heart as Muslim community in his area.
” It takes a good leader to recognize people for what they do for the society, as other leaders who would have recognized people who are closed to them or share religious faith and inspiring,” Mr. Bah noted.
The chief Iman further emphasized that, Ramadan is the month of blessings and observing fast and prayers and all Muslims believed that their prayers can be assured by the Almighty Allah.
As the Ramadan’s festival is expected to climax shortly, he said they will continue to remember the nation and its people for the Almighty Allah to have mercy upon our lives.
