LIBERIA: Chief Justice Yuoh pledges Her Unwavering Stance

Chief Justice Sie-A- Nyene Yuoh has said recent statement made by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai during his State of the Nation Address decisively demonstrates that judicial actors are efficient, non- corruptible and trust worthy in dispensing Justice without fear or favor.

Justice Yuoh has called on all judicial actors to take judicial notice of that aspect with President Boakai’s message as a challenge, thus pledging her unwavering stance on the strict administration of justice in the interest of peace, harmony, stability and economic viability of the country.

The Chief Justice made the statement yesterday when she delivered special remarks at the opening of the 10th National Trial Judges Conference at the Temple of Justice.

On Jan 29, President Joseph Boakai said the Justice system, which is meant to protect the innocent and punished the guilty has been marred by inefficiency , corruption and lack of public trust.

The President further said he is counting on the Honorable House to pass legislations and support financial appropriations that will help us win the fight against corruption.
