Ambassador Kemayah, who is also the political leader of the opposition Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE), described the graduate as historic, not only their (graduates) achievements, but also the first-ever graduates of the Master of Arts Degree Program.

The program, he said, is an integral part of his legacy and that of the entire Board of Trustees; as well as the President of the Liberia Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention (LBM&EC), Rev. Dr. Samuel B. Reeves, Jr. and the President and Administration of this Seminary.

This milestone, he indicated, reflects the dedication and commitment of each of graduates, and a testament to the vision of the seminary to provide advanced theological education.

“We are very pleased and honored that this monumental progress of this graduation, producing today, the First Ever Graduates of the Master of Arts Degree Program, which we started in September 2022 and happening under our watch as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary (LBTS),” said Deacon Kemayah.

He urged the graduates to used their acquired education to help address the complexities of challenges in a bid to transform society for the better.

Amid opportunities and challenges, the LBTS Board Chair pointed out that as educated leaders, the graduates must serve as agents of transformation.

“Education is a powerful tool for transformation. It shapes our understanding of the world and equips us to address the complex challenges we face in our society today. Each of you has engaged in rigorous academic study, deepened your faith, and honed your ability to think critically and compassionately. These skills are essential as you step into roles that will influence lives and inspire change in your respective communities and the society in general.”

“The world you are entering is filled with opportunities and challenges. As educated leaders, you carry the responsibility to be agents of transformation. Your education has prepared you to confront issues such as inequality, injustice, and despair with knowledge, empathy, and faith. Remember that the true value of your education lies not just in what you have learned, but in how you apply that knowledge to uplift others and foster positive change in our society and the world at large.”

“As you go forth, commit to being lifelong learners and advocates for education within your respective communities and our Country as a whole. Encourage others to pursue knowledge, and to seek understanding through the lens of faith. Your role as leaders in the church and society is vital in promoting a culture of learning, growth and development.”

“Congratulations, Class of 2024! May your journey ahead be filled with purpose and impact. As you embrace your calling, remember that you have the power to transform lives and communities through your faith and your education.”

According to him, the dedication and hard work of the graduates have inspired them – administrators, as they (graduates) embark on their respective new journeys.

At the same time, Board Chair Kemayah with consent/approval of other members of the Board, announced the reappointment of the President of the Seminary, Rev. Dr. Momolu Amstrong Massaquoi for an additional five-year term.
