GRAND GEDEH: Score of citizens in Grand Gedeh County have on February 23,2024 aired out their displeasure with the recent appointment made by President Joseph N. Boikai, by appointing Former Representative for Electoral District#3, Hon. Alex Grant as Superintendent in the County.

Following a one day dialogue with some local officials in the area, citizens in the county are strongly mandating the removal of the newly appointed County Superintendent and the appointment of a new person “who has a heart for the people.”
Labelling the counts against the Former lawmaker Hon. Alex Grant who served for twelve years in electoral District #3, Grand Gedeh County, the citizens accused the appointed superintendent of getting involved in malpractices, and embezzling of the county development fund.
” Hon. Alex Grant is not a trustworthy person to spear head us as county superintendent. The former lawmaker has no positive achievements in the District. He served for twelve good years. He contested in the just ended general elections and was defeated in the senatorial race by Senator Thomas Yaya Nimely.” They stressed.
Commenting further, Grangedians stated that during the lawmaker regime, he was also linked to the disappearance of the former acting magistrate of the national election commission Mr. Alfred Donnar in Konobo District, Grand Gedeh County.
As it stands, the County is yet to produce a new Superintendent to steer the affairs and well-being of its citizenry.
Meanwhile, as the appointment continues by President Joseph Nyuma Boikai, Grangedians are calling on the president to re-appoint a new Superintendent who will look at the growth, development and well-being of the people in the county.
