The Monrovia City Corporation (MCC) has disclosed plans for the construction of a major land fill to address the issue of waste collection in the City.

The proposed land fill, worth over twenty-million United States Dollars, will help the MCC to properly dispose of waste from Monrovia and its environs.

The disclosure was made by Monrovia City Mayor, Jefferson Tamba  Koijee, during a special press conference on Thursday, December 29, 2022.

According to Mayor Koijee, negotiations are ongoing with partners to support such hugely significant project.

He said:” The lack of proper waste disposal has been a major challenge experienced by the MCC over the years.”

Major Koijee is, at the same time, encouraging citizens to cooperate with the MCC by keeping the City clean, green and safe.
