Defense Minister Extols MOD Staff, AFL Personnel

Liberia’s Minister of National Defense (MOD), Brigadier General Geraldine Janet George (Rtd.), has hailed officials of the Ministry as well as officers of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) for their outstanding commitment over the year in review.

Miniter George asserted that the strong bond of friendship within the Ministry and by extension the AFL has propelled the Ministry to achieve great heights in the coming years.

While counting the current year as being rewarding so far, Minister George disclosed that these success stories come on the back of the high level of cordiality and dedication to duty.

The MOD boss made these remarks Monday, 16 December 2024 at occasion marking the lighting of a Christmas tree in reflection of the hard work and celebration of the many achievements obtained through togetherness.

According to her, the lighting of the Christmas Tree signifies a renewed sense of appreciation of God’s guidance and mercy.

“We are hopeful that as we light up this Christmas Tree God will also light up your hearts with renewed compassion as this signifies lasting hope and the love we share together.

“May we be celebrated. I want to thank you for your ommitment and togetherness. We look forward to a better and a more fruitful year. I am hopeful that the next time we are going to light our Christmas Tree will be done at our new building before the end of 2025. I want to thank the entire leadership for the milestone achievements over the years – I mean my abled Deputies, Assistants and all support staff of the Ministry of National Defense and by extension the AFL.
