CECPAP kicks off TOT Workshop in Zwedru Today

The last of the three-cluster training of trainers (TOT) workshops organized and facilitated by the Center for Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding (CECPAP) kicks off today, Monday, April 3, 2023 in Zwedru City, Grand Gedeh County.

According to a release issued by the CECPAP, cluster three training of trainer’s workshop will bring together participants from Grand Gedeh, River Gee, and Maryland counties respectively. These participants will converge in Zwedru City, Grand Gedeh County, today for a two-day TOT training session.
The workshop is being held under the theme: Promoting Peaceful Electoral Environment and Community Security in Liberia. The training session seeks to build capacity development for joint security actors, local authorities, women, and youth groups to reinforce peace corridors in identified hotspot areas including boarder communities to respond to risk associated with potential issues arising from voter trucking.
The Zwedru workshop will teach participants on various topics such as Promoting Peaceful Electoral Environment Through Conflict Prevention and Resolution, Anti-Human Trafficking and Migrants Smuggling, Community Policing, Anti-Voter Trucking and Basic Border Management, Election Integrity, Analyzing Social Media News Content, among others.
The TOT workshop is being organized and facilitated by CECPAP with funding provided by the UN Peacebuilding Fund. The UN International Organization for Migration (IOM) is supervising the implementation of the project.
Meanwhile, CECPAP has been successful in conducting two cluster TOT workshops in Tubmanburg, Bomi County and Gbarnga, Bong County for Participants from six counties including Grand Cape Mount, Gbapolu, Bomi, Lofa, Nimba, and Bong.
